College Prowler Take

Students are enthusiastic about their love for Yale. Some even claim that they have never been happier in their lives. Although students often complain about their piles of work or their small dorm rooms, in the end, all these problems fade into the background of the overall picture. Instead, all they see are the gorgeous buildings, amazing classes, brilliant faculty, and endless lists of cool things to do.

When it comes down to it, however, students are
in love with the people they have had the opportunity to meet. Students at Yale are smart, easy-going, dynamic, fun, interesting, and amazingly talented.
When they get together, they have fascinating discussions and produce incredible work. At Yale, you have the opportunity to grow academically, as well as personally. Most Yalies agree that this personal development is the most important and rewarding part of their college experience.

I’ve had a great experience at school, both socially and academically. I definitely couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. I think there is a place for everyone at Yale, since the University offers so much and is so diverse. We’re not completely cutthroat, either. It is much more laid-back than some Ivy League schools, but it’s still competitive. There’s a good balance. And the people are great. You’ll meet so many interesting, fun, quirky, and cool people. Everyone loves the student body. You’ll get a great academic experience, but the people you meet and your friends will complete the entire experience.

I love Yale! There’s just so much to do here. I have great friends, inspirational classes, and great photos to prove it. My friends all love Yale—they’re all down to earth, quirky people who have exceptional talents and interesting perspectives on everything. I’ve had so many long discussions about everything that run late into the night. You will meet new people every day, really nice ones. You won’t believe it when your freshman year is over so quickly!

I find that we Yalies tend to be more low-key and more down to earth. We don’t really care if somebody’s got better grades than us. It’s just not that competative—at least that’s the impression I get.

I love Yale, and I haven’t for a moment wished I was somewhere else. Sure, Yale has problems, just as every school does, but I’m grateful for the dozens of fascinating and truly talented friends I’ve made, the inspiring professors I’ve worked with, the opportunities I’ve been offered, and the incredible personal development I’ve had the opportunity to experience.
