Interviews & Information Sessions

Information sessions and campus tours are offered Monday through Saturday. Check out the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for times.

Applicants can choose to schedule an on-campus or local interview. Information about the interview process is provided after your Yale application is received.

Campus Tours

Campus Tours are offered Monday–Friday at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. Call for holiday schedule. Special tours by appointment.

Overnight Visits

Overnight visits for accepted students can be arranged through the Admissions office. Yale also hosts Bulldog Days for accepted students. During a couple of days in April, you will be able to experience the life of a college student. You can not only stay in a dorm room (remember a sleeping bag), but you can eat in the dining halls, attend classes, and meet other Yale prospective students, faculty, and deans. Expect to receive an invitation with your acceptance package.

Did You Know?

Visiting high school students are known as "pre-frosh" and can visit Yale any time of the year. Pre-frosh students can be hosted overnight by Yalies who demonstrate to high-schoolers what it means to be a Yalie. Pre-frosh students can visit classes, eat in the dining halls, meet with professors, and talk with students.

Each April, admitted students are encouraged to attend Bulldog Days, a great chance to meet other members of your Yale class and to experience the richeness that Yale has to offer.

Experienced tour guides will take you around campus and give you an idea of what life at Yale is really like. Make sure to check out the statue of Nathan Hale ("I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country") and the Beinecke Library building.

Because you can't make student-written guides without the students, we have students at each campus who write, edit, and survey their peers for every guide that we publish.
