College is extremely expensive (as we all know). Directly going to a university from high school is a dream that cant be easily attained with little to no financial help. Attending Yavapai Community College has made it easier to earn your GE credits at a reduced price. Though at times community college may feel like 13th grade, having teachers that care about your future as well as your career serves as both comforting and inspirational to strive ahead.

All of the education instructors are wonderful. They help you and teach you so much to make sure you are prepared to going into the teaching field. They post all job openings that fit into our field and have connection with the community for volunteer opportunities.

I have taken all of my classes online so far. This will be my first semester to actually be on campus.

I chose this grade because of the experiences I have had. The schedules are very flexible and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They helped me partner up with a University to get my BA and make sure I get all of the transfer requirement completed.

Most students are their to further their education and provide a positive classroom setting.

I think they are a great addition. I have taken many courses online. But there needs to be better cohesion between teachers. I had to remove myself form a course because the teacher didn't think i was capable after passing the prereq course with an A.

Its just seems to be more going through motions then anything else. no one really has me enraptured in the class knowledge or teachings
College Junior 2013-07-05T06:50:05Z
there is a lot of options for both students and the general public. Not always the best times of easy access but are available.

I have a collection of grades going back to 2000 and they never leave so I am stuck with classes I dropped out of and failed showing back grades on my transcripts. Its a community College and I feel they are more going through the motions then actually having answers

The student body at Yavapai College is very diverse. There is no discrimination here. They are all very friendly and enjoy making friends. In all three of my classes here this semester, then I have encountered a lot of people who really enjoy learning, as well as having fun.

There are a lot of sports at Yavapai College, including Tennis and Baseball. I took a tennis class this semester, and it was incredibly helpful. There is free tutoring and free test taking study sessions. It is a very nice social scene.

I am planning to be a nurse, and I took the prerequisite class in order to enter the nursing program. That was the only class I took this semester relating to that major, but I hope to enter the nursing program in the fall.

The teachers here are amazing, and really want to help the student with whatever needs they have. I only give it not an A+ because the workload is sometimes not really appropriate. The curriculum is great, too.

Yavapai College's resources are excellent, and the athletic centers and libraries are very nice. Overall, a great school.

I am General Education major at Yavapai Community College in Prescott, Arizona. This major offers flexibility and is composed of mostly elective credits. It allows for a lot of room to discover exactly what I "want to be when I grow up". The campus at Yavapai is beautiful and offers wonderful places to study and interact with new people. Not declaring a specific major at Yavapai was a great choice for me.

All the facilities and resources at Yavapai College are great. The gym with the pool at both campuses make it nice to work out and get in a swim. We have a huge screen in the fine arts center where shows are televised. Some plays have included Phantom of the Opera and other viewings from the Met. I like the aesthetics of the campus, it is inviting and warm, which includes the staff. The library is comfortable and again the staff is very helpful. The cafe food is very good as far as the variety that is offered. There is a salad bar as well as hot meals.

This is a tough question as I am just starting this major. I recently graduated with my certificate in photography, and have decided to get my associates in graphic design. Right now I am in an online english course, which is the start of this degree. I figure I will be working hard to keep up with the workload, my graduation from high school was 45 years ago and it seems that a lot has changed since then. Art classes will be a breeze; that is what I am interested in.

I am very happy with disabilities program at my school. I have dyslexia that causes a problem, especially with technical information. The have worked with me to make my reading easier.
The only reason for the B is that the campus closest to me does not offer all the classes I need for my degree. Most of the classes are at a campus about 1 hour away. So far, the professors/instructors have been very helpful in answering all my questions, if they don't know the answer they will find out and give me an answer.
Class registration is always a breeze, it is done either online or in the office with an advisor.

I enjoy classes here because of the diversity of students, most of my classes have students fresh out of high school to students my age or older. Age doesn't seem to make a difference to many of the students. We are all there for the same thing, education. I socialize by studying with my friends and classmates, although socialization isn't a major factor for most, as is the studying for the education.
