The school is generally no-frills but there is a student lounge as well as a basketball hoop outside. Otherwise, the facilities aren't anything special.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I feel that the financial aid process was exceptionally easy at YCCC. I feel that the value I am receiving thus far is slightly below average but I may have too high of expectations for a Community College where ages in my classes range from 18-65 years old.

I found the online courses to be easy to follow but there were issues. It would difficult to get a timely response from the instructor and I felt disconnected from the rest of the class. There were also times the portal would be down, taking away from the convenience of online classes.

There are ample computers and printers available on campus. The speed of the network is reasonable. Overall, impressed by the resources at a Community College.

It is a small community college and the facilities are perfectly adequate but will not amaze you.

I have completed my first semester of general education classes online and will not be attending in person until the fall of 2013.

The staff is very helpful, informative, and always doing their job. I attended another college years prior and it was dreadful, no one knew what was going on & I felt I knew more as a freshman than the staff at another college. I am so grateful to have such a great support team from every department I've come across at YCCC. I am a self learner and structured, I take online classes and LOVE them. YCCC has been adding more online classes the more they become popular. I have found that I've absorbed more information late at night, which would be difficult to attend a campus at midnight! If your in the area go here!! If your self motivated take online classes, they aren't for everyone so try one! I am studying for Liberal Arts degree, and will transfer to a university to achieve a Bachelor in Teaching. YCCC offers basic needs, but it is GROWING with YOU! I'm sure if a course is requested they will add it ?!?! You never know!

Because this school is so small, they don't over very many classes other than what is required. The few elective classes they do offer are quite impressive. I wish there was more variety in what students can take. Registration is made easy enough, and the workload isn't overwhelming.
College Junior 2013-01-17T13:04:37Z
Overall, most students at this school are there to work towards a higher education, and most of them are working when not in school. There are, however, the handful of students that don't take their classes seriously and don't care about their grades.

I am a liberal arts major intended on transferring to a university. So far, I've enjoyed a lot of my classes and have been given some great opportunities to take classes I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. Most of the faculty is wonderful, but there are a couple of teachers that I've had in the past that I do not think are fit for the job. The workload is what is to be expected.

The school netwoork is ....iffy. You can get the best Wifi when you're in the library,, but once you leave then it's gets really weak.Overall, the computer are fast enough to get stuff done.

My experience at YCCC was very pleasing. All but one of my teachers were very easy to get together with and helpful with whatever questions I had. They are extremely genuine and their personalities make the experience that much better. Courses scheduling is very flexible, I work 32 hours a week so I needed somewhere that would be able to fit in with that work load, and YCCC did that for me.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I am a Dual Enrollment Student at YCCC. Still being in high school I took two courses a semester tuition free, which I was very pleased with. I think it's awesome that they give students like myself the opportunity to experience college classes without putting a whole in our wallets. I have greatly enjoyed my Psychology courses there, although some of the other courses I have taken were not as good as the Psychology ones. Overall I am quite pleased with the education lessons I have received at YCCC.

Great!! I wish there was a little more interaction... maybe the teacher on a video. Online is great, I can work at my own pace and in my slippers on my couch! I save alot of time traveling to class and not to mention money from gas! I have all of my assignments in front of me at all times and haven't missed one yet. If I was to miss class, I'd miss something and would be behind, which is a mess to make up assignments and stay current.
College Senior 2012-08-30T16:40:49Z
Class registration was easy, quick and they work efficiently! Only problem I have had as a non-matriculating student is the classes fill up before I can sign up.

Classes Are Full – I am currently taking classes to help me get closer to my major. They are what I expected them to be, a fun and exciting learning experience.

Unknown Helpfulness – I did not graduate from York County Community College, I am attending this school in order to complete a few required classes so that I can continue my education at a different college. For me to school this school on post-grad services would be unfair and unknown information.

Loved Every Minute. I've done so many things though the Culinary Department. A few examples include; Three a day dairy at the Governor of Maines Home, Gingerbread baking on Broadway where we were able to compete in NYC and be covered on food network channel. I was able to attend several food shows in the area to experience first hand the restaurant marketing side of our business and make valuable contacts for future use in our careers, as well as serve a thanksgiving dinner at YCCC. All these have made my YCCC experience exceptional. I cant wait to start classes in just over 3 weeks!

Never Had a Problem Connecting! To anything! Labs are wonderful and easy to use, networks always been there when i needed with strong acess and fast speeds. Depending on your degree you should own your own computer for ease of access, but its not 100% a necessity.

For a Local Community College I Think Its Quite Nice. Not a lot of glits and glam to the school but i think that just adds to distractions. The school has a wonderful library and computer lab, student resources are amazing, and student lounge is a nice get away to relax in between classes. The area around the school is stunning, its nice to just take a walk outside and enjoy the surroundings.

I Havent Needed to Use Career Center. I haven't needed to use the Career Center to date to help me find a job. But through earning my degree it has opened a lot of career paths in general that i have been able to pursue.

Had a Wonderful Experience Going to YCCC! I'm a Culinary Major and only have great things to say about the program and staff. So many opportunities for projects and events with the community it is always an exciting adventure. I have made a lot of contacts and met some amazing people while attending the college. Very excited to be just about finished with my degree and i will continue on with my business degree after! The staff of YCCC in general is amazing, so helpful and kind. Always willing to do whatever it takes to help their students excel! Thanks YCCC, see you again in a few weeks!
