My school is pretty diverse. It's very accepting and helpful of others. There is a religious christian club, but it's not a big deal; the campus is still very accepting of other religions. Many students are here to work hard and get their degree, or to come here to save some money so that they may transfer to a much bigger University such as Clemson, USC or Winthrop.

Printing on campus is pretty reasonably priced and the network is typically there, working when it needs to. Speed is pretty good. The computers can get crowded, so I suggest having your own laptop.

York Tech is a great school. I'm a General Studies/University Studies major since I plan on transferring to a 4 year school to study Nutrition. They have a great bridge program that will help me transfer smoothly. The faculty are wonderful at assisting with whatever help I need and I have great advisers who help make sure my workload isn't too much. They also try to help their students get part time work within their school as work study. They are great and have enjoyed being part of the student body so far.

I have been very safistied with the Academics at York Technical College. The instructors are very much into their students and can call them by name even after courses hae passed. The registration process is simple but instructors are willing to help if there is some difficulty. The workload can be overwhelming but with time management, it can be done. I am in the Nursing program and I'm loving is already!!

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid at the school tries very hard to assist students. The students must do their part in turnng in documents in the alotted time. The education I plan to receive is worth the tution. If at students plans to receive financial aid, the FASFA must be completed as soon as tax returns are available.

Although online courses are convenient, they lack the personal and one-on-one experience with the instructor and other students. One advantage to online courses is not having to get dresssed for class. Another advantage is no gas used to get to class. A disadvantage is making sure you have logged in a specified number of times per week to get credit for the course. I would rather put a face with a name with my courses. I have taken several online courses and have done very well. However, there were some courses I had to drop.

Most graduates that I've talked to found jobs in their field within a month of graduation.

I'd say its pretty even between minorities and religious backgrounds.

Most of my professors offer special help after class if you have any questions or need any help with anything weather it being school related or home related.

Although I have not had any online classes because i chose not to, because I need a teacher in front of me so I can ask questions and get the answers I need. I would never take an online course if I didn't have to.

My experience has been overall good. The only problems I've experienced are whenever I've taken a math class my instructors always expected us to already know most of the material due to the class prerequisites, many of which we weren't required to have.
College Junior 2013-07-21T23:16:33Z
My experience has been good but at times frustrating, mainly due to the length of time I've had to remain on the waiting list for radiologic technology, and the fact that most healthcare programs here have lengthy wait list--upwards of three years. I am able to balance classes and work fine, but I wish this would be remedied somehow. I have also heard of other students having problems with transferring credits.

I have only taken two courses but the process and class content was very easy to follow and keep up with.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I have had to make several visits to the student services desk to clear up issues that would allow them just to receive my FALFSA.

My school is mixed between adults holding jobs and trying to advance their education, and High Grads just getting started. The younger students don't always take their studies serious. On the other hand Adult students tend to be more serious with their studies but struggle at times with getting through projects with their limited time.

There is no flexibility in the nursing program. They pretty much own you from 8am - 3pm on any given day, and that doesn't include studying!
College Senior 2013-06-26T19:55:17Z
It really depends on the student. I've seen a lot of people that are very serious about their education, but I've also seen a lot of students that are just goofing around and trying to have their education handed to them. The younger crowd, unfortunately, doesn't usually have a great attitude about education.

Mostly, my school consists of working-class people with full-time jobs or families. They often juggle many different roles in addition to being students. While they are happy to socialize and make friends, this is not a priority. They are getting an education so they can seek a different life or career.

York Technical College has a wide variety of both academic and professional studies. students from all walks of life it in there. the academics are challenging and thought provoking.

The main reason i choose this school was because of its location. also, it is a Technical College so I knew that there would be more of a core study. I'm very happy with the decision that I made.

I love my classes and my major! the major is hard and the classes are extremely challenging. I do not like the general studies part of the program, but you have to take the bad with the good.

Registration process is easy but YTC does not allow student to enroll class once the semester begins. YTC should allow students to have the empty seats at least one week after classes begin because students drop courses.

The school has a new president and he is doing a great job updating the school. Over the past three years he has made the campus a much pleasant place to be.
College Junior 2013-06-12T21:54:21Z
I like the teacher and student ratio because it does allow students to receive more time with the teacher.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
